ACCEPTED INSURANCE
We have experience with all types of insurance.  We will happily submit all the insurance claims for you.  We accept assignment of benefits (insurance checks come to us) from any insurance company that offers that option.  What we need from you is your insurance card or other information so we can submit the claims to the right insurance company. As a service to you, we can call the insurance company for you to find out what your benefits are. We are participating providers with Hawaii Dental Services and other Delta Dental Insurance companies.

PAYMENT OPTIONS
We accept payment by cash, check or credit card (Visa, MasterCard,  Discover, and American Express).  We estimate what your insurance would pay us and what your portion (co-pay) would be. We expect payment of your portion (co-pay) on the date of services or we can discuss monthly payment plans for certain services before we do any treatment.

APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING DETAILS
We try to accommodate your schedule as much as possible on the days we are open.  We ask that you call in advance for an appointment so we can be of service for all of our patients.  We also appreciate your letting us know about any changes you want to make in your appointment at least 2 days in advance, so we can better plan not only for you but for others as well.   Please call us at least 2 days in advance if you need to change your appointment in any way.

FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT

• Our office uses lots of hi-tech but we are also high touch.  Everyone who comes in says it doesn’t look like a dental office, but instead looks like someone’s living room.
   
•  We use state of the art digital radiography (x-rays) which decrease the amount of radiation we need to use.  We also have a specialized panoramic x-ray unit which takes an x-ray of your whole mouth and jaw at one time.
   
• We use a specialized and computerized anesthetic system, commonly known as CompuDent or the “WAND”. It doesn’t look like the old-fashioned dental needles, and sure doesn’t feel as painful.  It’s like a magical wand!
   
• We make sure that everything we use is either used once or then disposed, or heat sterilized before each use.  In fact you can say we’re a little paranoid about being so safety conscious about how we clean and disinfect our office.
   
• We offer sedation dentistry for fearful people.  We also offer Nitrous oxide gas (also known as laughing gas).
   
• We offer lots of ways to help you feel more comfortable in our office – such as earphones and MP3 players with a choice of music; special eyewear to protect your eyes; soft, cuddly blankets when it gets too cold; lip balm for your dry lips.
